Shape

The initial approach was to design a woodentoy with meaningful and unique concept. The design direction was inspired bythe Chinese Zodiac 12 Animals, which refers to an order of animals in a cycle ofyears. It is commonly believed that every person has one of those animalsdepending on his/her birth year and each animal influences a person’spersonality, career, marriage, fortune, etc.

Reflecting the year I was born, which is 1993,the year of the rooster, I designed the toy with minimal shape that representsthe animal with essential aspects. In addition, the other 11 animals are curatedby following similar form as the rooster in order to make them as a wholeseries.
